SnapPlate is an iPhone app for adults 18 and older. There is no SnapPlate account. CoreFeld does not sell personal data and does not use it for advertising or tracking.
What stays on your iPhone
Your plan (goal, sex, age, height, weight, and pace), the meals you log, the photos you choose to save with those meals, your weigh-ins, and your reminder setting stay in the app on your phone. The home screen widget reads today's totals from the same phone. None of that profile is uploaded as a record about you.
What is sent to estimate a meal
When you analyze a photo or a typed description, SnapPlate sends that photo or description, and a signed App Store purchase receipt, to CoreFeld's SnapPlate service. The receipt is checked so only a current subscriber can run an estimate. The service does not receive your name or email.
The service sends the photo or description to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the estimate. CoreFeld does not use it to train a model, and does not ask Anthropic to train on it. The estimate, without your name, may be kept for up to 7 days so an identical request is not run twice. The photo itself is not stored on the service. A copy remains in the app only if you log the meal.
A barcode lookup sends the barcode number to Open Food Facts (world.openfoodfacts.org). That request does not include your name. Barcode data in the app is credited to Open Food Facts under the Open Database License.
Apple Health
If you turn Apple Health on, SnapPlate reads your latest weight and writes the meals you log and the weights you enter. If you delete a meal, edit it, or delete all data, SnapPlate deletes the matching samples it wrote. Apple's own privacy policy covers data stored in Health.
Subscriptions and reminders
Apple processes the payment. CoreFeld does not receive your card. The service stores the subscription id, how many estimates that subscription used that day, and how many that phone used that day. A random id created on this phone is sent with each estimate and when you buy. Estimates use it to count that phone's daily scans. A purchase uses it so a win-back price can be signed for that install. It is not your name. A daily reminder, if you leave it on, is scheduled on your phone and is not sent through CoreFeld.
Delete your data
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete all data. That removes meals, photos, weights, and your plan from the phone, and removes the Apple Health samples SnapPlate wrote. It does not cancel an Apple subscription. To ask CoreFeld to delete the subscription id and scan count, use the contact form. Include the approximate date you subscribed, because that record is not stored under your name.
